Veterans’ Wellbeing Centre in Nowra

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

The Commonwealth Government has pledged $5 million to build a Veterans’ Wellbeing Centre in Nowra, to provide integrated support and services to veterans and their families from the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands. The Nowra VWC will form part of a national network of Veterans’ Wellbeing Centres, with other centres in Darwin, Adelaide, Perth, Townsville and Wodonga.

The centre is being designed and set up by local members of RSL NSW in conjunction with other local Ex-Services Organisations.  The lead of the project team is RSL member and veteran Lee Cordner AM.

The NVWC project team is currently calling for Expressions of Interest from local businesses and professionals who may be interested in providing services to the centre.  These include services for veterans (eg health, mental health, housing, employment, legal etc) and also services for the set up and operations of the centre (eg marketing, communications, IT, operations etc).
