New Employment Facilitator Announced For Regional Employment Trials

The new Employment Facilitator for the Far South Coast Regional Employment Trial is Andrew Wales, an experienced local business professional and entrepreneur.

Based in Nowra, Andrew will be working with Regional Development Australia Far South Coast (RDA FSC) and organisations interested in applying for RET funding to develop projects that address local employment issues and gaps.

Andrew will facilitate the application process and liaise with RDA FSC on regional priorities and strategic planning, to ensure those projects submitted are tailored to address the unique challenges of the RDA FSC region whilst providing innovative solutions.

Andrew will also assist proponents with the RDA FSC assessment feedback as part of the application process.

The Regional Employment Trials program will run until 30 June 2020, and all local employers, training organisations, employment service providers and other community organisations are invited to apply for funding.

With his 22 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, and strong connections with south coast employers, job providers and government agencies, Andrew Wales is well placed to help achieve the Regional Employment Trials goals. He has been based on the NSW south coast for over 15 years and is committed to jobs growth in the region.

Andrew currently operates his own management consulting and startup incubator firm, and serves as a Business Advisor under the Business Connect Program to SMEs across the NSW South Coast and Southern Highlands. Other achievements include founding two major south-coast enterprises – Australia’s Oyster Coast, and Planet Footprint – as well as the ‘Gerringong Association’, Gerringong’s peak business group, through which Andrew is a key coordinator of the region’s ‘Escape to Gerringong’ tourism and economic development campaign.
