REGIONAL JOBS AND INVESTMENT PACKAGE (RJIP)

On 21 February 2018, the Hon Dr John McVeigh MP, Minister for Regional Development, Territories and Local Government, and Ms Ann Sudmalis MP, Member for Gilmore, announced the successful grant recipients for the NSW South Coast region.

Local businesses across the South Coast have received a major economic boost, with the Coalition Government’s Regional Jobs and Investment package (RJIP) expected to create up to 1,000 new jobs across the region.

South Coast RJIP Chair, Fiona Hatcher, highlighted the work of the South Coast RJIP Committee which developed the Local Investment Plan for the South Coast. The Plan identified key industry sectors for growth and informed the decision making process of the Department in selecting successful applicants. Ms Hatcher today thanked the SCRJIP Committee for giving so generously of their time and expertise, and without whom this investment in the future of the South Coast would not have been possible.
